Most people are pleasantly surprised upon attending Grace's services in that she is not similiar to TV many preachers and televangelists. Grace hosts a healing concert with prayer. Grace's services are evangelistic interdenominational (welcoming believers of all faiths). An attitude of praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the theme of every service. An evening with Grace is always uplifting and joyful!
Our mission is to spread the message of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Grace is an evangelist. She has always uplifted Jesus and spreading His good news has always been the focus of her work.
We have been used since the late 1970s to fill churches with souls who desire to grow in faith.
Grace was raised by her blind mother in the projects of White Plains, NY. Her father left the family.
Besides her mother, two other women influenced young Grace's life:
Her Aunt Grace (a successful business woman) and her Grandmother who became
a Greek Orthodox nun and built a church.
Grace was singing in a church with her gospel group when a truly miraculous healing occurred. From that point onward, miracle answers to prayer occurred where she sang, witnessed of Jesus, and prayed for those in need.
For 44 years Grace’s ministry has held services across America in auditoriums and civic centers. Her work has been the subject of thousands of magazine and newspaper articles. She has appeared on many of the nation’s top talk shows both secular and religious.
Grace is the recipient of many awards, among them the Humanitarian Award from the international Hall Of Fame for to her outstanding benevolent works: prison ministry, feeding and clothing the poor in the inner cities and mountain regions, taking homeless people and others off the streets, taking them into her home, placing them into rehabilitation programs and helping them rebuild their lives, as well as her bringing unity to all people with her periodic "Black, White and Free Gospel" events. Literally thousands of lives have been rebuilt and families put back together through this work of the Lord's. She was the first woman to receive this award in 62 years! She has ministered to the wealthy, celebrities, and the needy.
Grace spoke at the United Nations twice! She was recognized with an Official Citation from the State of Connecticut General Assembly. Grace is also the recipient of an honorary doctorate. Her work, Grace ‘N Vessels of Christ, built a massive ministry center in the Northeast where for 17 years services and special events were held and Northeast Bible Institute had its home. In honor of these achievements, the mayor of that city, Danbury, CT, gave Grace the key to the city.
Dodd, Mead of New York, Agatha Christie’s publisher, published a book on her life and ministry, The Touch of Grace.
For 17 years hundreds of graduates were taught the truth of the scriptures under the leadership of pastor Grace’s husband, Pastor Larry James, (Bachelor of Biblical Studies, and Master Divinity). Many of those graduates are today pastors and ministry laborers. In honor of these achievements, he mayor of that city, Danbury, CT, gave Grace the key to the city.
To date, twenty five album releases feature Grace's beautiful singing voice. Pastor produces them and writes many of the songs.
